Woven shibori sample
Many of you let me know that you were busy enjoying your weaving activities and sent me updates. I certainly enjoyed my summer as well learning more about weaving. It started with a wonderful Woven Shibori Workshop that Toronto Weaving School organziaed and it took place at Burr House (weavers and Spinners Guild) in Richmond Hill, given by Kathleen Morris http://www.kathleen-morris.com/ and the results were very exciting. Here are some samples done by participants. Apologies for not recording who did them!

I went to Montreal to take 2 one week courses in Jacquard Weaving: Beginner taught by Leila Palumbo and Intermediate taught by Louise Lemiuex Berube. http://www.lemieuxberube.com/ at the Centre des textile Contemporains de Montreal (http://www.textiles-mtl.com/en/). In the first week, fellow students included Joanna Schleimer, Kathleen Morris and Jolie Bird.
